When in 2015/2016 the refugee crisis reached it’s peak with a million immigrants arriving in Germany it did affect me. I would have liked to volunteer and provide help where needed, but as I was living in Paris I could not very well do so. Born out of this was then the idea to go and seek photographical encounters with people who came in this time into the country. And take their portraits as what they are. People like you and me, who’s fate forced them to leave their country.I have photographed over 200 between spring 2016 and autumn 2017, some you find here.
